745 Ebenezer Rezoning Denied 4-2 (Republished post from June 2016)

Following is a republished post from June 2016, providing results of the second Ebenezer Road rezoning hearing.  So many opponents attended that a holding room for overflow (with a video monitor) was established.  Over 1800 citizens signed the petition against the rezoning.  This hearing demonstrated the power of citizens in facing down Special Interests in Milton.  It was a proud moment.

Milton Citizens:

Last night, the 745 Ebenezer Road rezoning was denied on a 4-2 vote with council members Longoria, Lockwood, Hewitt, and Mohrig voting for denial and council members Kunz and Lusk voting against denial.

Thanks everyone for your contributions:  signing the petition, writing e-mails to Council, and speaking at the meeting.  It is appreciated.  Milton benefits when citizens are engaged.
